Adelia qualified in Holistic Massage (ITEC) in 1990 and has a wealth of experience in natural health and alternative therapies. Adelia can do a great deep tissue massage, but also something gentle or nurturing because, as she would tell you, it is not a case of “one size fits all” but is a dialogue with the body.
She can work in a remedial way on specific problem areas and includes passive stretches and isometric exercises if necessary. She also recognises that physical tension may represent unexpressed feelings or an individual’s thought patterns, and may use ‘Focusing’ techniques to help people to work with this if they want. She has also qualified in manual lymphatic drainage massage.
