Crainosacral Therapy
Andrew Cook– Craniosacral Therapist
What is Craniosacral therapy (CST)?
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that evolved from Cranial Osteopathy in the 1970’s. One way to describe CST is that it works in cooperation with the body instead of manipulating it. This is very powerful, because instead of trying to force your body to change, craniosacral therapy helps your body to change itself. Taking this approach, it is apparent that there is a deep self-healing intelligence in the body that can be activated and assisted.
How does Craniosacral Therapy work?
Craniosacral Therapy is a respectful, gentle and profoundly effective form of bodywork . Treatments are carried out fully clothed while a CST Practitioner will feel various kinds of movements and stillness in your body. This allows a generic form of diagnosis. At the same time these expressions of health can encourage your body to heal itself.
